This is the shortest trip we run, built for people who are crossing Georgia and can give Svaneti exactly one weekend. Day one is the walk to the Chalaadi glacier: pine forest, the suspension bridge over the Mestiachala, the tongue of ice at the end. It is an easy day on purpose, and the afternoon stays free for Mestia itself — the towers and the museum.

Day two is Ushguli — the 4x4 up the Enguri gorge to Europe's highest inhabited village, the Lamaria church, the towers, a Svan lunch and the Shkhara viewpoint. Both nights you sleep in Mestia with breakfast and dinner. The group is six people, one guide, one car: that arithmetic is what the per-person price stands on, and it keeps the day at your pace.

Classic or Signature

Classic
€219
Family guesthouse, simple room, full board.
Signature
€473
The two days are identical in both versions. Signature changes the evenings and the rooms: premium guesthouses instead of standard ones, a Svan supra — the long, toasted feast at a family table — and an hour on horseback. If the weekend is your only visit and you want the table as well as the landmarks, take Signature.

For travellers crossing Georgia who can give Svaneti one weekend and want the two defining landmarks, not a sampler.

Questions we hear before this trip

How big is the group?

Six people, with one guide and one car — the per-person price is built on exactly that. If a group grows past six, we split it by activity and each sub-group is priced by its own rule.

I am travelling alone. Can I join?

Yes. Dates are flexible, and a single traveller can join a departure that is already forming. Tell us your window and we will say what is taking shape.

What is included in the price?

A local Svan guide with you each day, all travel inside the region in our own vehicles, and a room in Mestia with breakfast and dinner.

What is not included?

Flights, insurance, lunch on the mountain and a room to yourself. The list is short on purpose — nothing else is quietly folded into the price.

How fit do I need to be?

Day one is an easy acclimatisation walk to the glacier; the Ushguli day is mostly the 4x4 drive and village walking. If you can walk a few unhurried hours, the weekend works.
