The old way to cross Svaneti.
Local horses know the mountain trails to Koruldi Lakes and through the villages around Mestia. Routes suit first-time riders as well as confident ones; the guide matches horse and pace to each rider and leads the whole way.
Half-day rides take in a valley or viewpoint; full days reach the Koruldi ridge with its panorama of Ushba and Tetnuldi. Multi-day pack-supported rides are arranged on request.
