A transfer takes you toward Adishi; from there the walk climbs gently to the meadow and moraine below the Adishi glacier, with Tetnuldi (4,858 m) above. Adishi itself is a cluster of medieval koshki towers with a working village rhythm.
Lunch is with a local family — kubdari and mountain food. The hike is moderate and suits most fitness levels. It is the best single day for travellers who want the trek scenery without four days on foot.

Adishi is one of the most atmospheric places in Upper Svaneti — a remote cluster of medieval stone towers beneath a glacier, reached only by trail or rough track. A day hike here takes you into deep Svan history and wild alpine scenery, ending at the Adishi glacier that feeds the valley below.
It is a classic stage of the Mestia to Ushguli trek, but also makes a superb standalone day for walkers who want the essence of Svaneti in one outing. Your guide shares the village's story and reads the mountain weather so you travel safely.
A moderate day on mountain trails; reasonable fitness helps. Bring layers — weather shifts quickly beneath the glacier. In winter Adishi becomes a remote ski touring base.
Yes. While Adishi is a stage of the Mestia–Ushguli trek, it also works as a rewarding standalone day hike to the village and its glacier, arranged with transfers.
Its isolation and preservation — a genuinely remote village of medieval Svan towers beneath a glacier, with few visitors and a powerful sense of history.
