Why base a Georgia tour on Svaneti
Most Georgia tour packages give you two days of Tbilisi, a winery and a drive-by of the mountains. We build it the other way around: Svaneti — the highest, most distinctive region of the country — is the core, and everything else supports it. You spend your time under Ushba and Shkhara, in tower villages like Ushguli, guided by people who live here, and pass through Kutaisi or Tbilisi on the way in and out.
Winter package: freeride week
Seven nights based in Mestia, six days on snow: guided freeride on Tetnuldi and Hatsvali, a catski day, a touring day when conditions call for it, avalanche gear and half-board included. From €1,250 per person, including transfers from Kutaisi. Season mid-December to April. Heli-assisted days can be added on request.
Summer package: trek and villages
The signature route is the four-day Mestia–Ushguli trek — ~58 km village to village with guesthouse nights, from €690 per person with guide and luggage transfer. Around it we add arrival days, the Koruldi Lakes or Chalaadi Glacier as warm-ups, horse riding or paragliding, and a farewell supra. June to early October.
Custom itineraries
Photographers, families, mixed groups of skiers and non-skiers — we build the days around your dates and fitness, not a fixed brochure. Airport pickup in Kutaisi or Tbilisi, mountain transfers, accommodation from family guesthouses to our own hotel in Mestia, and one WhatsApp thread with a real person who is actually in the mountains.
Practical notes
- Fly into Kutaisi (budget routes) or Tbilisi; we handle the road from there.
- Most nationalities enter Georgia visa-free for a year.
- Cards work in Mestia, but bring some cash for villages.
- Travel insurance covering mountain activities is required on guided programs.
Tell us your dates, group and appetite — we will send back a day-by-day plan with a real price within a day or two.
